The intent is to obtain similar feedback as in the public open house, giving residents who cannot attend the same opportunities for input.
This Survey is open from March 27 until April 11, 2025.

The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback to assist in the development of the Township of King Commercial Licensing Framework. It covers the concept of municipal commercial licensing, as well as reasons for their adoption.
The Discussion Paper also aims to provide a clear understanding of how commercial licensing functions within municipalities by detailing the types of businesses typically licensed and the standard process, including application procedures, licensing fees, inspections, and enforcement mechanisms. Through this Discussion Paper, the Township of King seeks public input to guide the development of a framework that is impactful to the community and aligned with local priorities.

Commercial Licensing Framework Development has finished this stageThe public engagement phase will consist of a survey to gather your input on commercial licensing options and identify key parameters. Additionally, we will host a town hall meeting to discuss these options and hear your feedback directly. Your participation is essential in ensuring that our approach reflects the interests and needs of the community.

Draft Report
Commercial Licensing Framework Development is currently at this stageIn this phase, we will consolidate the research findings and stakeholder input to draft a comprehensive report outlining potential framework options for commercial licensing. Options will be developed considering community goals, stakeholder inputs, economic analysis and jurisdictional research. This report will serve as a foundation for future decision-making and will be shared with Council for further feedback and consideration.
