Salamander Park

King Township is adding a new feature to Salamander Park at 70 Tatton Court in King City. King asked what the community would like to see installed. Thank you to all of those who took a minute to complete the one-question survey and let us know your choice—a splash pad, a play structure or ball hockey.

The survey is now closed. We'll report back soon on the results! Construction will begin later this year.

In April 2024, residents residing in the immediate neighbourhood of Salamander Park were invited to participate in a one-question survey with unique access codes to help King Township determine the best new amenity to add to the park, located at 70 Tatton Court in King City. Three options were available: a splash pad, a ball hockey rink, and play structure.

Survey invites with unique access codes were mailed out to 139 residents in the immediate neighbourhood. The survey closed on Friday, April 26 and 56 valid responses were received by the deadline. The results demonstrated that the splash pad was the most preferred addition:

    1. Splash Pad - 32 (57%)

    2. Ball Hockey - 12 (21%)

    3. Play Structure - 12 (21%)

Construction and installation of the new splash pad at Salamander Park is underway, with expected completion by end of August. The splash may open for the remainder of the season, pending timing of completion.
