Description: Schomberg is a well-connected community, with a system of pathways and high quality streetscapes that facilitate a truly active community. Schomberg’s Main Street has maintained its characteristic charm and historic quality with a mix of uses including unique shops, restaurants, services and homes occupying well-maintained buildings that show great pride in ownership.

As a part of continuing revitalization efforts King Township is embarking on a redesign of Main Street in downtown Schomberg. The design concepts aim to advance a high-quality, integrated approach to enhancing and preserving Schomberg’s unique qualities. The Township hopes to improve the pedestrian network and connectivity to Main Street to further boost Schomberg’s reputation as a vibrant, authentic, historical community and a renowned destination for day tourists, cyclists and residents alike. This project aligns with recommendations out of the 2019 Main Street Revitalization Strategy and Action Plan.

Timeline: The Project is in the early design stages where we are developing and reviewing conceptual design options.
