King Township is looking for public feedback on its draft Stormwater Master Plan (SMP). A review and
analysis of King’s stormwater infrastructure is now underway. This will result in the development of a
comprehensive Stormwater Master Plan to support the Township growth scenarios as outlined in the
new Official Plan.
This master plan will provide analysis to ensure that the required level of service to handle the
anticipated growth can be provided throughout the Township. A Municipal Class Environmental
Assessment has been undertaken to guide this process.

This master plan will provide analysis to ensure that the required level of service to handle the anticipated growth can be provided throughout the Township. A Municipal Class Environmental Assessment has been undertaken to guide this process.

Study Area

The study area for the master plan includes the villages of King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg. The study area also includes the Hamlets of Ansnorveldt, Snowball, Lloydtown, Laskay, Kettleby, Pottageville and Graham Sideroad.

Class Environmental Assessment and Stakeholder Communication

The master plan will satisfy the Master Plan requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental (EA) process and will encompass Phases 1 & 2. Two (2) Public Information Centre (PIC) meetings will be held to allow public input from residents, landowners, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders:

- The first PIC will be held to introduce the project and present a Problem and Opportunity Statement.

- The second PIC will be held to present proposed solutions. Any comments or feedback will be recorded and documented to be included in the master plan report.

Timelines

  • First (1st) PIC - Friday November 27, 2020 Beginning at 12:00 p.m.
  • Second (2nd) PIC - April 1, 2021 Beginning at 12:00 p.m.
  • Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Final Report: Summer 2021
