Transportation Master Plan Survey #2 - Developing Solutions

Township of King Transportation Master Plan

Public Survey – Developing Solutions

As part of updating the Township's 2020 Transportation Master Plan, we invite you to share your thoughts in developing the alternative solutions for the future transportation network. This includes whether there are solutions that address your challenges with getting around King Township, or if there are still gaps that need to be filled. Your feedback is crucial in helping us create a more efficient and effective transportation system.

This Survey will be open until May 15, 2025.

Thank you for your time and feedback.

Under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Environmental Assessment Act, unless otherwise stated in the submission, any personal information such as name, address, telephone number and property location included in a submission will become part of the public record files for this matter and may be released, if requested, to any person.

Alternative Scenarios

As part of this transportation master plan, the project team has developed three different transportation network configurations to improve mobility in King Township:

Alternative 1: Do Nothing

Alternative 2: Business as Usual

Alternative 3: Business as Usual + TMP 2020 Projects

The following questions allow you to provide feedback on alternative scenarios for the transportation network. Your responses will help us understand whether these options address your mobility challenges or if there are still gaps that need to be filled in the network. A fourth alternative scenario will be developed that considers the feedback we receive.

Alternative Scenario 1: Do Nothing

This scenario is based on the current transportation network, with no additional infrastructure built by any agency (municipal, regional, or provincial) between now and 2051. It showcases what would happen if no investments are made, including Highway 413 or the Bradford Bypass.

Alternative Scenario 2: Business as Usual

This scenario assumes that provincial and regional improvements continue as planned, but with no additional investments from the Township. It shows the impacts of key provincial and regional investments, like Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass.

Alternative Scenario 3: Business as Usual + TMP 2020 Projects

This scenario assumes all projects within the Business-as-Usual scenario, plus all the improvements identified in the previously 2020 TMP. It identifies the impacts of the previously approved improvements, planned for implementation from now to 2031, with no additional investments to the year 2051.

Which Alternative Scenario would best addresses your current mobility challenges?
