Rural Area Zoning By-law Review
King Township has initiated a review of its zoning for the rural areas and hamlets within the Township, which are currently regulated by the Township’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law 74-53, as amended. The outcome of this review is anticipated to be a new comprehensive Rural Area Zoning By-law. The rural area encompasses the Countryside and Hamlet designations, as well as the Nobleton Village Reserve Lands (shown in yellow, on the map). The rural area excludes the urban Villages of King City, Nobleton and Schomberg.

Thank you for your question. The Council of the Corporation of the Township of King passed By-law Number 2022-053 on the 26th day of September 2022 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O, 1990, Chapter P.13. The By-law is currently subject to its appeal period which ends October 26, 2022.
